Stats at Martinsville:

  • Wins: 0
  • Top-5’s: 9
  • Top-10’s: 10
  • Laps Led: 487

Kyle Busch has been one of the most solid drivers this season after winning the championship in 2015. With two third-place finishes and two-fourth place finishes, Busch had a lone bad week in Fontana, when he had a tire issue in the final few laps of the race. Even then, he was in second place, and was attempting to run down Kevin Harvick.

Busch’s career at Martinsville hasn’t been dominant but it hasn’t been bad either. He is arguably the best active Martinsville driver that hasn’t visited victory lane there as he has always seems to complete great days.

Though Busch missed the first race at the track last season because of his injury, he rebounded in the Chase with a fifth-place finish. This time around, he will also be competing in the Camping World Truck Series race, which could help him come Sunday.

"“I’ve been able to get to Victory Lane as an owner at Martinsville, but not as a driver, so the goal this weekend is to change that and hopefully leave with a pair of them.”"

Kyle Busch has definitely not had a slump since winning his first championship. With that in mind, it’s a given that he will be another great pick at Martinsville on Sunday.
