Loser: The Front Row

After qualifying 1st and 2nd, Joey Logano and Kasey Kahne were set to have great days at Martinsville. They showed great speed in practice and qualifying that served as optimism heading into the race.

However, none of that mattered once everything got going. Kahne hung around for a little while but eventually slid all the way back to the 20th position and beyond. He ended up being one to two laps down for the rest of the race and finished 22nd after a frustrating day.

For Logano, his dominance after leading 207 laps last fall had been derailed by Matt Kenseth, and he was looking to avoid any other problems. He jumped out to an early lead on Sunday but eventually fell back like Kahne. While he managed to stay within the top-20 and rally for an 11th-place finish, his day certainly did not go the way he had planned for it to go.

Both drivers, still searching for their first wins of the season, will be in luck next weekend as they have run well at Texas over the years.
