Winner: Hendrick Motorsports

Texas Motor Speedway has often been noticed as a favorite within Hendrick Motorsports. Jimmie Johnson has the most wins of all-time at the track with six. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won his first Cup Series race there while Chase Elliott won his first Xfinity Series race there. Kasey Kahne also has a win in the Lone Star State.

It was nothing but more success for HMS in Fort Worth on Saturday.

Elliott (5th) was originally supposed to start in 4th but had to go to the rear due to a transmission change. He eventually battled back and stayed in contention all night long, even getting up to second place and challenging Martin Truex Jr. for the lead late in the race.

Earnhardt Jr. (2nd) and Johnson (4th) had setbacks when a caution came out as they were on pit road, however, they got back into the top-10. Kahne (8th) struggled for half of the race before getting a few key adjustments that ended up helping him earn his best finish of the season so far.

Though none of the drivers won, HMS had a very successful day, with each driver racing well and finishing in the top-8.
