NASCAR: Winners And Losers From Texas
By Cole Mentzel
Winner: Kyle Busch
It was another great weekend for Kyle Busch. Dating back to Martinsville, Busch has won four straight NASCAR races: a Camping World Truck Series and Cup Series race at Martinsville as well as an Xfinity Series and Cup Series race at Texas this past weekend.
On Saturday night, he was able to hang tough throughout the first half of the race by improving on his 15th-place starting position. He drove his No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota up into the top-10 and waited until the end of the race, when strategy became important, to take control before leading the last 34 laps with no real challenge.
Busch has worked his way to the top of the driver standings and third-place in the Chase standings as he has been arguably the most solid driver throughout the start of the 2016 season.
With the way he is racing right now, it would be smart to expect a strong title defense from the No. 18 team once the Chase rolls around in September.

Next weekend, Busch will head to Bristol with plenty to be excited for, as he has momentum on his side, as well as history, since he has won five races at the venue.
