Houston
The Grand Prix of Houston was a fixture on both the IndyCar schedule and CART calendars of previous years. The last time IndyCar visited Houston was in 2014, in a race remembered most by Dario Franchitti’s career ending injury. While that memory is not one that you want associated with a track, the racing action there in 2014 was decent enough to warrant another trip.
Labor Day weekend in Houston might be tricky considering the Houston Texans play at home for the first two weeks of the NFL season, making this a long shot. However, if IndyCar and Houston wanted to pull this off they certainly could. We can relive a little bit of the action Up above) from 2014 in the meantime in hopes of IndyCar making a return date soon.
