Winner: Kurt Busch’s Top-10 Streak

Serving as one of the best drivers in the Cup Series so far, Kurt Busch has been solid through 16 races.

Busch has finished outside of the top-10 just two times this season–back-to-back weekends at Fontana (30th) and Martinsville (13th). He has finished in the top-10 every week since then, starting with the Duck Commander 500 at Texas in April.

At Sonoma, Busch logged a 10th-place finish to keep his streak alive. He was in contention all day long and challenged for the lead early on in the race, competing in a few good battles against his brother, Kyle. With some late moves, he earned his tenth straight top-10.

With his lone win coming at Pocono, Busch has positioned himself in sixth in the Chase standings and second in the overall driver standings. He also has more top-10’s than any other driver this season.

Keep an eye on Busch as the season moves along. He could be a major player once the Chase gets here.
