NASCAR: 2016 Big Prediction Page (Mid-Season Edition)
11 Different Winners This Season But No First-Time Winners. Will 2016 Have A First-Time Winner?
- Martin Feigen: Chase Elliot seems to be right on the cusp week after week now. Blaney is also running up front most races. I would expect one to win and would not be surprised to see both in victory lane in 2016.
- Mike Hutton: I still think Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney will win before this season is over. Everyone cries “Larson,” but he’s another Logano in that he’ll get his first win with his next team. It’s not going to happen at Ganassi.
- Alex Herbst: Chase Elliott is my lock to get a win as a rookie, but Austin Dillon could sneak in there too, as I believe he is the best performing of the RCR drivers.
- Cole Mentzel: Yes. Chase Elliott would be my pick. He could’ve won at Pocono and Michigan and had many other great runs this season. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan Blaney or Kyle Larson pulled off a win.
- Marco Venosta: Definitely. As I said previously, it’s only a matter of time before Larson and Elliott get to victory lane. The first one has more experience, the second better equipment and they both have wagons of talent.
- Christopher Olmstead: I predicted at the start of the season that Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson would all win in 2016. I’m a little less confident in that prediction at the moment but I am going to stick with it.
