NASCAR returns to Pennsylvania this weekend for the second race of the season at Pocono. Take a look at five drivers who could make it to Victory Lane.
NASCAR is back at the Tricky Triangle this weekend as the Cup Series is set to compete at Pocono for the second and final time this season.
Pocono is one of the most unique tracks in the entire circuit as it features three different turns. Turn 1 is modeled after Trenton Speedway (defunct). Turn 2 is designed after last weekend’s track–Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Turn 3 is based off of The Milwaukee Mile.
The Tricky Triangle offers some of the craziest restarts in the sport as you’ll often see cars go five or six-wide in an attempt to gain an advantage going into Turn 1.
This weekend, four-time champion Jeff Gordon will be back in Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 ride as NASCAR’s most popular driver continues to recover from concussion-like symptoms.
Not much has changed at the top of the driver standings as Kyle Busch won his fourth race of the season last Sunday, tying him with Brad Keselowski for the most in 2016. As for the Chase bubble, many drivers are continuing to fight. With Earnhardt Jr.’s absence, a new spot has opened up and drivers like Kyle Larson have already taken advantage.
Here’s five drivers who could tame the Tricky Triangle this Sunday.
