Jeff Gordon Finishes In the Top 10

After returning to fill in for Dale Earnhardt Jr. for Indianapolis last week, fans were treated to something they thought they would never see again.

Now the once retired Gordon will again be filling in for Dale Earnhardt Jr. as NASCAR heads to Pocono, but will he be able to improve on his 13th place finish in Indy?

He has statistically raced well at Pocono in the past, winning their 6 times and has an average finish of 9.80.

Gordon also has solid stats for Indy, but that wasn’t enough to help him last week, so why should it change on Sunday?

Heading into Pocono Gordon now has a little more experience racing with the 88 team and the Crew Chief, Greg Ives, so he should be able to improve on what he did last week, which was a combination of racing well, he was up to 12th at one point, and surviving, he managed to avoid the wrecks that were happening at the end of the race.

Expect to see Gordon finish in the top 10 after Sunday’s race and help a struggling 88 team move slightly up the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.
