Tony Stewart is always a fun guy to talk to before a race. Not only does the three-time champion offer valuable insight to fans about what it will take to win the race, he’s also good for a laugh or two along the way. While Stewart has had many hilarious pre-race moments over the course of his Sprint Cup career, his calling out of Darrell Waltrip’s wild speculation during NASCAR races has to go down as the best.

The three-time champion completely called out Waltrip for trying to create artificial excitement during the race, even saying that he was waiting for Tattoo to come on screen and welcome the viewers to fantasy island. He also had the nerve to say that if NASCAR actually instituted the changes that Waltrip wanted to see in the sport, he wouldn’t have had the champions provisional to race the last couple of years.

Sure, this could probably go down as a pretty disrespectful moment towards the hall of famer and commentator, but in the moment it was just looked like good wholesome fun between friends. Waltrip seemed to get a decent laugh out of it as well, which only made the moment just that much more fun and memorable for everyone involved.
