Contender No. 1: Joey Logano

Stats at Bristol:

  • Wins: 2
  • Top-5’s: 3
  • Top-10’s: 5
  • Laps Led: 412

Joey Logano had made a name for himself at short tracks over the years. In fact, four out of his last eleven wins have come at tracks like Richmond, Loudon and Bristol.

Logano has won two races at Bristol in his career and they’ve both come since 2014. Last season, he dominated in the Xfinity race, leading 300 of 300 laps before winning the Cup Series race the day after and leading 176 of 500 laps.

He had a slow start to his career at the track but he solved his issues in 2012 and has since finished in the top-10 in five out of his last eight races.

Logano hasn’t exactly had the year that he’s used to having. In 2014, he won five races and in 2015, he won six races, but with the Chase only four races away, he has just one win (Michigan), despite being in contention for many others.

He’ll look to add another victory as he’ll certainly be a contender at Bristol on Saturday night.
