Kevin Harvick Gains Momentum Heading Into The Chase

Kevin Harvick won the race at Bristol and now re-emerges as a driver to watch as the Chase gets closer.

More important than that though, the 4 team now has serious momentum heading into the rest of the regular season and eventually the post-season.

The 4 team has struggled this year ,especially in the pits, but after winning at Bristol it looks like they’ve gotten their act together and played a major role in setting Harvick up for his win on Sunday.

In a year that has been dominated by two teams, Joe Gibbs Racing and Penske Racing, and dominated by two drivers, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick’s win at Bristol has helped add a new driver to the championship discussion.

Harvick didn’t lead the most laps at Bristol. Instead the Closer did what he does best and took advantage of the situation when Kyle Busch lost control of his car. Busch had the best car at  Bristol and led the most laps, but leading laps doesn’t matter; what matters is winning the race.

With his win at Bristol, Harvick proved he is still very much the Closer and now has solid momentum behind himself and his team as he gets ready for the Chase.
