Loser: Kurt Busch’s Impressive Streak

Despite just one win on the season, Kurt Busch has silently had one of the most solid, consistent seasons in the Cup Series this year.

However, on Sunday, one of his ongoing streak’s came to an end. During the biggest wreck of the race on Lap 372, Busch made contact with Keselowski, dealing heavy damage to both drivers and ending their days on the track.

In the process, Busch lost his streak of consecutive finishes on the lead lap, which had reached an impressive 25 straight races dating back to last season. He remains third on the overall points list and has the most points among drivers with one win or less.

Next weekend, Busch will look to start a new streak of consecutive lead lap finishes as he will have to deal with the intense restarts of Michigan. He’s logged three wins at the track over his career and finished 10th there earlier in the year.
