Dale Jr. Says He Will Donate Brain

As the concussion discussion has become the center of attention in the world of sports over the last 3-5 years, more and more athletes are donating their brains to science. Currently we are seeing several former NFL stars donate their brains to science and CTE research after they pass away.

In April 2016 during one of his many Twitter chats with NASCAR fans, Dale Earnhardt Jr. tweeted about his intent to donate his brain to science in the name of concussion research after he passes away.

It wasn’t a major announcement with pomp and circumstance but that doesn’t make it any less important. Earnhardt Jr.’s intent to donate his brain to concussion research further validates how much a part of his life concussions are and how much he wants to see progress made in that field.
