No. 10 – The Dale Earnhardt Tribute

After his passing in 2001 many fans around the sport got tribute tattoos to remember their favorite driver. When it comes to the actual tattoo here the picture isn’t horrible. The image of Earnhardt looks pretty good from the distance, the bible verse is centered well and the signature while hard to read is probably exactly what it’s supposed to look like.

That being said, I don’t understand the bright blue background or why this person thought that all three of these would look good together on his back. Also, the ‘backne’ (back acne) is usually a deterrent when it comes to getting back tattoos but that apparently was not the case here. This is one of those situations where all three pieces are done well (minus the questionable blue background) it’s just curious as to why this location was picked as the canvas.
