No. 8 – Thank Goodness For The Signature

This tattoo actually isn’t horrible. The No. 88 is nicely done and the fade on the numbers works well, although skin tone tattoos are always risky.

The issue with this tattoo is all in the signature. I’m sure that is what the signature of Dale Jarrett actually looks like and I am sure that Jarrett signed something for this person and that’s where they got it from. That being said, the signature looks out of place and throws off the entire tattoo. Maybe they should have used a stock signature since those are usually neater looking and it would have fit in better.

Also, NASCAR is tough when it comes to numbers because sometimes a driver changes numbers. Just ask all of those No. 8 tattoos that were turned to No. 88 tattoos when Dale Earnhardt Jr. moved to HMS. The last thing you want is someone thinking your tattoo is wrong because they think it’s supposed to be an Earnhardt Jr. piece when really it’s a Jarrett piece.
