3. David Reutimann (Watkins Glen – 2009)

It’s no secret that drivers will do anything in their power to gain a position on the final lap of the race.  With that being said and a few positions on the line in the closing laps of the 2009 race at Watkins Glen, Boris Said did what he felt he had to do to finish the race strong. Unfortunately for David Ragan, that involved giving him a tap that sent him barreling into the Armco Barrier at top speed.

Ragan then veered back onto the racing surface where he made contact with David Reutimann, sending him into the wall and up into the air. Reutimann then barrel-rolled a few times before finally coming to rest on all fours. Both men were thankfully able to walk away from the incident, but everyone just seemed stunned at the carnage that sat before them on the last lap.
