No. 11: Kasey Kahne ($10.8 million)

Despite not running all that great in 2016, Kasey Kahne finds himself just outside of the top-10 when it comes to this ranking.

In all fairness, Kahne did run better come the end of the 2016 season. Although he did not qualify for the playoffs in 2016, Kahne did run well during the final 10 races of the season. Many fans of the No. 5 team were hoping that the end of 2016 would translate into a strong start in 2017 and that could end up being the case.

Kahne had some good speed while at Daytona and he was able to avoid wrecks and translate that good speed into a top-10 finish to open the season. The key for Kahne in 2017 is going to be consistency. While winning races is great, Kahne needs to consistently be up near the front of the field before that is going to happen. One race is in the books in 2017 and Kahne and the No. 5 team appear to be on the right track, let’s see if it continues.
