Monster Energy Girls Are Out of Place

No matter which side you’re on in the Monster Energy Girls debate one thing remains clear:

These women are completely out of place in the world of NASCAR.

Throughout the history of NASCAR pretty women in scandalous outfits have always found themselves in Victory Lane. This year is a little different when compared to the past couple of seasons though.

NASCAR went from the Miss Sprint Cup, who would wear a fire suit like NASCAR drivers, to women who have a lot more skin showing.

And while fans can argue all day as to whether these women are good or bad for NASCAR, they continue to look out of place in Victory Lane and throughout the pre-race segments as they hang around in the background.

Miss Sprint Cup suffered from a similar issue as she would hang around in the background too but with her fire suit she at least appeared to fit in.

It seems as though NASCAR hasn’t learned anything from it’s previous years of experience with their NASCAR models though as no matter how much they don’t seem to fit in and are only in the camera shots and photos because of their looks these Monster Energy Girls won’t be going away any time soon.

They were out of place at Daytona, and they were out of place at Atlanta. NASCAR needs to find a use for them besides just being eye candy. Right now they take away from Victory Lane as they hang out behind the drivers looking somewhat confused and not sure what they should be doing.

The Monster Energy Girls could be good or bad for the sport, but regardless of how you feel about them NASCAR needs to give these girls a purpose instead of just standing around for the male demographic to gawk at.
