Ranking NASCAR’s Most Valuable Teams In 2017
No. 9 – Furniture Row Racing
Team Value: $24 million / 2016 Team Revenue: $17 million
Furniture Row Racing is NASCAR’s version of the Little Engine That Could.
Martin Truex Jr. is a championship contender that win races despite being on a team that makes a fraction of what the other championship-caliber teams in the sport make. This season the team expanded with the addition of Erik Jones. Adding Jones to the team will hopefully make the team even more powerful than it was in 2016.
Of course, a small team expanding too quickly should always be a concern in the world of NASCAR. The one good thing that Furniture Row Racing has going for them is their technical alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing. While technically not a part of JGR (due to NASCAR’s rule limitations) the team is basically viewed as JGR’s little brother. The alliance between the two teams certainly puts Furniture Row Racing in a position to win races and succeed.
