No. 3 – Stewart-Haas Racing

Team Value: $180 million / 2016 Team Revenue: $112 million

SHR moved from Chevy to Ford this season and thus far the results have been good.

Kevin Harvick still looks like the Harvick that we have come to expect the past few seasons. Kurt Busch has been strong to start 2017 and Clint Bowyer and Danica Patrick have already turned a couple of heads with their on-track performances.

SHR getting all of their cars into the playoffs in 2017 seems unlikely given the fact that Patrick has never been to the playoffs and Bowyer hasn’t been there in quite some time. Harvick and Busch seem like locks to make the playoffs, Busch has essentially punched his ticket already by winning the Daytona 500.

Harvick or Busch winning a title in 2017 might seem like the ultimate success for SHR but I would argue that all four of their drivers making the playoffs would be a bigger deal.
