Never Give Up Because Anything Can Happen

If there is one thing fans and drivers can learn from Las Vegas Motor Speedway it’s that you should never give up until the race is officially over.

Martin Truex Jr. won the first two stages of the Kobalt 400 but as the race started to come to a close, Brad Keselowski emerged as the only driver who could pass Truex.

And pass him he did. With less than 10 laps to go both Truex and Keselowski would restart the race on the front row but Keselowski was too much for the 78. The driver of the two car was able to get over a second lead on Truex Jr. and it looked like Keselowski would be winning back-to-back races.

Then something in the 2 car broke, and the lead he had quickly dwindled. Truex, who once looked like his dominant day would result in a second place finish was able to catch and pass the two car with two laps to go.

A race isn’t finished until the white flag is waving in the air and every driver have crossed the start/finish line. It doesn’t matter how dominant or fast a driver might be; anything can happen on the last Lap.

Now Martin Truex Jr. will join Brad Keselowski and Kurt Busch in the Playoffs and the post-season for NASCAR is already looking very similar to last year.

The win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is Truex’s earliest of any season and the 78 team is looking even better than they did last year.

Could this be the year Furniture Row Racing wins the NASCAR Championship? With Truex and the 78 team, bringing the championship to Denver is a real possibility.
