More Drivers Need Keselowski’s Attitude

In the world of NASCAR drivers win some and lose some.

No better example of this occurred than on Sunday when Brad Keselowski was ready to win the Kobalt 400 and had a solid lead over Martin Truex Jr., only to have something in his car break and lose any hope he had of winning back-to-back races.

Keselowski was helpless as his car failed him on the final laps, but instead of storming off he stuck around for a post-race interview that many of today’s drivers can learn from.

"“It’s frustrating, but you put yourself in position to win and good things will happen. That happened to us last week and didn’t happen to us this week, so you just pick up the pieces and move on.” h/t Fox Sports"

Keselowski would also mention how his misfortune was why fans should stick around for the entire race and also mentioned that he was proud of the Miller Ford crew.

In a sport where winning is everything it’s easy to see how a driver can get frustrated when their car breaks during the final laps of a race that they should have won.

Maybe it’s because he won at Atlanta, but for whatever reason Keselowski was cool, calm and collective during his post-race interview and understands how issues with a car are just part of racing.

Keselowski’s attitude is part of the reason why he will win again this season and is something other drivers should also strive for if their day doesn’t work out like they hoped.
