Good Weekend – Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson didn’t have a single top-10 coming into Phoenix. Following finishes of 34th, 19th and 11th to open the season, some were questioning what was going on with the No. 48 team. While these questions were exactly warranted, there were still being thrown around.

Coming out of Phoenix Johnson put that narrative to bed after securing his first top-10 finish of the season (9th).

Next weekend Johnson and the No. 48 team head to Auto Club where he has ruled supreme during his NASCAR career. In 22 starts at Auto Club Johnson has six wins, 13 top-five’s and 16 top-10’s. Johnson most recent win came at the track last season when he drover the No. 48 Superman machine into victory lane.

Next weekend, Johnson will be looking to continue his Auto Club success by winning for the seventh time at the track and getting his first win of the 2017 season.
