No. 4 – The Wood Brothers

  • Previous Week: N/A
  • Auto Club Results: Ryan Blaney (9th)

Could Ryan Blaney be lumped in with the guys over at Team Penske? Sure he could be, but that would be taking away from what he and his team have accomplished this season.

After five races Blaney will be heading into Martinsville inside of the top-10 in the championship points. Blaney has three top-10 finishes through five races and easily could have had four if not for some pit road issues late in the race at Phoenix.

Is Blaney going to win a race this season? I think that he will but even if he doesn’t he should be in the hunt for the majority of the season. If Blaney is able to maintain the pace of consistency that he has set for himself early, he should find himself in the playoffs with or without a win this year. Of course, making the playoffs with a win would most likely be the preferred method for Blaney and his No. 21 team.
