After being caught in a wreck in the Daytona 500, Matt Kenseth lived a nightmare every driver hopes to avoid at all costs. That nightmare is being knocked out of the Great American Race early and scoring in dead last.

Kenseth managed to put the first race behind him and finish 3rd at Atlanta and 9th at Las Vegas. But that success was short-lived as the #20 car wrecked in the next two races and score 37th and 36th place finishes. A 16th place finish at Texas rounds out his first seven races of 2017.

Can Kenseth get it together moving forward? The immediate future brings us to Bristol, where Kenseth has won four times in his career. Two of those wins have come behind the wheel of a JGR Toyota. However, his average finish in his last three races at Bristol is 38.3. Times are tough for Kenseth fans. One can only hope for a turnaround coming sooner rather than later.
