Pagenaud owns the record for biggest championship-winning points margin, and Curry owns all kinds of three-point shooting records. Both of these athletes are arguably the best in their respective sport right now, and both are in prime positions to win another championship.. . Stephen Curry, Point Guard, Golden State Warriors. . Kevin Durant, Small Forward, Golden State Warriors. Josef Newgarden. 2. player. 41. This comparison is too easy. Josef Newgarden was a stud last season at Ed Carpenter Racing, and Kevin Durant was a stud with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Newgarden only finished behind three Team Penske drivers in the championship last season, and he joined the team this past offseason. Durant and the Thunder were defeated by the Warriors in the playoffs last season, and Durant signed with the Warriors this past offseason. Both of these athletes were and are elite and took advantage of opportunities to move on to better teams.

3. player. 118. Helio Castroneves is a three-time Indianapolis 500 champion, but he has never been able to win a championship through 19 seasons so far. Karl Malone is a two-time NBA MVP award winner, but in 19 seasons as one of the best players on the court, he was never able to win a championship. Both Castroneves and Malone are and have been extremely consistent, Castroneves with his championship finishes and Malone with his statistics, but neither has won the ultimate prize of a championship.. . player. 156. Will Power is truly one of the fastest drivers to ever drive an IndyCar. LeBron James is truly one of the greatest players to step on a basketball court. However, they both tend to cave in, or choke, under pressure. It took Power four tries at leading the championships standings heading into the final race before he finally hung on for a championship. It took LeBron three NBA Finals to finally win one, and he currently has a Finals record of just 3-4. Both of these athletes are among the greatest of all-time in their respective sport, but they have been known to “choke”.. . LeBron James, Small Forward, Cleveland Cavaliers. Will Power. 12
