Kyle Busch hit with late commitment line violation at Richmond

“Balls and strikes.” The three words that told an entire story in the mind of Kyle Busch as he quickly walked away from a FOX Sports reporter on last week’s broadcast.

The comment came after a late caution brought the leaders to pit road one final time. Eventual race-winner Joey Logano made a last second turn down pit road as the leader of the race. Kyle Busch, running second at the time, followed suit. The problem was that Busch failed to get his right-side tires inside the orange commitment box coming to pit road.

NASCAR officials called a violation on the 18 and Kyle Busch was forced to drop to the rear on the final restart. Busch ended up finishing 16th, but was clearly unhappy with the call that took him out of contention
