Penske Drivers Won’t Struggle

As NASCAR gets ready for the Talladega race this Sunday, there is one team who will be without their normal crew chiefs.

Both Team Penske drivers are dealing with penalties they received this season, and both the 2 and 22 teams are dealing with suspensions of their crew chiefs.

Keselowski and his team are dealing with a penalty they received after the Phoenix race earlier this season. Penske tried to appeal it, but their appeal failed and now Paul Wolfe will be serving part of his suspension this Sunday.

Logano and the 22 team were penalized last weekend after their Richmond win and now his crew chief, Todd Gordon, will also be sitting out at Talladega to serve part of his suspension.

Crew chiefs are a major part of any team and without them a team can struggle, but when it comes to Talladega, not only can this race be about luck, but both Logano and Keselowski know what it takes to win at this superspeedway.

Logano won at Talladega last year in the Chase and also in October of 2015. Keselowski has also been in Victory Lane at ‘Dega a total of four times since he started racing in NASCAR’s main series.

Both Penske drivers are heading into Talladega without their normal crew chiefs, but that won’t stop either one of them from being top drivers to watch on Sunday. They can both handle this superspeedway and will be racing for the lead at some point during the GEICO 500.
