Honorable Mentions

RYAN NEWMAN. HM. [Last Race: Not Ranked (+1)] — The last spot on these rankings came down to Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman, who all sit between 11th and 15th place in the championship standings, respectively. While Newman, who is locked into the playoffs, is the last driver on that list, he was the only one of those five drivers who finished in the top 25 at Daytona, and he did so with a 5th place finish, his 3rd-highest finish of the season and his second top 5 finish in the past five races.. No. 31. Richard Childress Racing, Chevrolet

HM. [Last Race: Not Ranked (+2)] — Ricky Stenhouse Jr. hasn’t had a very consistent season, but he now has two victories this season. His win at Daytona tied him for 2nd among all drivers with two wins so far this season, and it also proved that his win at the restrictor plate race at Talladega was no fluke. While he is only in 16th place in the championship standings, he has shown that he can win races, which could make things interesting down the stretch since he is locked into the playoffs.. No. 17. Roush Fenway Racing, Ford. RICKY STENHOUSE JR.
