#6 and #5

[Last Race: 10th (+4)] — Denny Hamlin secured his fifth top 5 finish of the season and his third 4th place finish in the last four races with a solid race at Kentucky that shot him up two spots in the championship standings and four spots in these rankings. While he still has yet to win a race this season, it’s hard to knock him for that since he has still been one of the best drivers on a Joe Gibbs Racing team that has been very strong despite not going to Victory Lane yet this season with any of its four drivers.. No. 11. Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota. DENNY HAMLIN. #6

CHASE ELLIOTT. #5. [Last Race: 7th (+2)] — Chase Elliott has come close to winning his first career NASCAR Cup Series before, and that was the case at Kentucky yet again, as he claimed his fourth podium finish of the season and tied his career-high finish on a non-two-mile oval. His 3rd place effort at Kentucky was his fifth top 8 finish in the past six races, so it looks as though he is getting closer and closer to claiming his first career victory as we inch closer toward this season’s playoffs.. No. 24. Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet
