Honorable Mentions

[Last Race: Honorable Mention (-)] — Ryan Blaney finished in 19th place at New Hampshire, but he had the speed to finish higher. While he is only in 12th place in the championship standings, he has been a factor up front at all types of tracks as of late. Prior to the New Hampshire race, he had finished in the top 10 in three of the past five races, including his first career Cup Series win at Pocono. If he can continue to show speed everywhere, he can be a contender in the playoffs.. No. 21. Wood Brothers Racing, Ford. RYAN BLANEY. HM

CLINT BOWYER. HM. [Last Race: 10th (-1)] — Clint Bowyer finished in 7th place at New Hampshire, which theoretically should not drop him in these rankings. However, one driver very close to him in both the championship standings and in these rankings performed better than he did, so Bowyer unfortunately lost the spot. As the only driver currently on a streak of four consecutive top 13 finishes, including two 2nd place efforts, Bowyer has been solid and looks like he could be strong in the playoffs.. No. 14. Stewart-Haas Racing, Ford
