NASCAR: Five Drivers Who Should Race At Eldora in 2018
By Matt Lovisa
Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick
Harvick, the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion, has raced at Eldora Speedway on four other occasions with little success compared to his competitors in the Prelude to the Dream Series.
He got his first start in NASCAR on the Truck Series circuit and has since made multiple starts in the series and picked up multiple wins and has dominated XFINITY Series races at times as well. It would be a unique opportunity to see another high-level driver performing at the prime of his career in an unknown element.
Bowyer on the other hand is no stranger to success on the dirt. He grew up racing on dirt and has a passion, similar to Stewart’s, for racing on local short tracks across the country.
He has not had as many opportunities as Stewart has had to race on dirt, but aligning himself with Stewart-Haas Racing for the 2017 season could pay dividends towards that. Bowyer in a truck on the dirt is must-see TV.
