#8 and #7

No. 20. Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota. MATT KENSETH. #8. [Last Race: 10th (+2)] — Matt Kenseth is arguably the hottest driver in the series, and he really needs to be, as he is currently in the final playoff spot thanks to his points total due to the fact that he has not yet won a race this season. He is the only driver who has finished in the top 5 in each of the past two races, and he became that driver with a solid 5th place finish at the Brickyard 400. While that race was one he very well could have won, the points he got should help him a lot from a playoffs perspective.

#7. [Last Race: 9th (+2)] — Jamie McMurray only moves up in these rankings thanks to the fact that at the Brickyard 400, he finished higher than some of the drivers that were close to him in these rankings and are close to him in the championship standings. His 17th place finish at Indianapolis was his third finish outside of the top 13 over the course of the past four races, so what was once a pretty consistent season has turned the other direction, which is not good for a driver who has yet to secure a spot in the playoffs with a victory.. No. 1. Chip Ganassi Racing, Chevrolet. JAMIE MCMURRAY
