CHASE ELLIOTT. #8. [Last Race: 10th (+2)] — Chase Elliott got himself back on the right track with his first top 10 finish in three races at Pocono. However, it was only 10th place finish and his gap to the playoff cut line shrank by a decent amount. While he would currently be in the playoffs if they began today, he may very well have to claim his first career Cup Series victory to qualify for them, which has not been and will not be an easy task for him to accomplish.. No. 24. Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet

[Last Race: 8th (+1)] — Matt Kenseth seems to be heating up at the right time, as he has averaged a 6th place finish over the course of the past three races with no results worse than 9th. While he is still winless so far this season, the success had by both he and his team as of late makes it look like he will be in the playoffs. I hope Joe Gibbs Racing knows what they’re doing by letting go of the former Cup Series champion next season.. No. 20. Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota. MATT KENSETH. #7
