That win ended the longest winless streak of his Cup Series career and it finally gave him a break from the frustrations that this season has brought to him. His lead over 2nd place Kyle Larson in the standings is huge after his 3rd place finish at Pocono, a great bounce-back effort after crashing at Indianapolis. Add the fact that he is tied for the Cup Series lead with three victories as well as the fact that he leads all drivers in stage points and playoff points by a comfortable margin and you can see why he has a lock on this #1 spot for now..
