#4 and #3

No. 4. Stewart-Haas Racing, Ford. KEVIN HARVICK. #4. [Last Race; 3rd (-1)] — Kevin Harvick’s race at Watkins Glen did not go as planned, as he ended up finishing in 17th place for his worst result in a race that he has actually finished since he finished in 23rd place at Talladega nearly three months ago. Having already locked himself into the playoffs with his win at Sonoma, all he really needs at this point is momentum heading into the playoffs, which he has. Before his poor result at Watkins Glen, he had racked up four consecutive top 9 finishes.

Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota. DENNY HAMLIN. #3. [Last Race: 5th (+2)] — Aside of race winner Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin finished in the highest position of any of the drivers in the top 8 in the championship standings with his 4th place result at Watkins Glen. He has now finished in the top 4 in six of the last eight races, with his only two non-top 4 finishes coming at Daytona and Indianapolis as a result of crashes. Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing as a whole have been heating up lately, and it was Hamlin’s win at New Hampshire in particular that really got things going for both he and the team.. No. 11
