#12 through #9

#12. [Last Race: 13th (+1)] — Once again, Marco Andretti saw a late-race gamble on pit strategy not pay off at Pocono, just like he did at Iowa. However, he was still able to finish in 11th place at Pocono for one of his best results of the season after leading several laps late in the race. He is still searching for his first win since the 2011 season.. No. 27. Andretti Autosport, Honda. MARCO ANDRETTI

#11. [Last Race: 10th (-1)] –James Hinchcliffe started out strong at Pocono, but his race took a turn for the worse after he got loose and nearly hit the wall and then wrecked a short time later. With just two finishes higher than 10th place since his three-race top 9 streak to start the season, Hinchcliffe appears to be limping to the end of this season.. No. 5. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, Honda. JAMES HINCHCLIFFE

RYAN HUNTER-REAY. #10. [Last Race: 9th (-1)] — Ryan Hunter-Reay has turned what was an awful season around into a respectable one. His 8th place finish at Pocono gives him four straight top 8 finishes, including a finish of 3rd place at Iowa that is tied for his season-high. However, he will need his first win since the 2015 season to prevent this season from being one to forget.. No. 28. Andretti Autosport, Honda

#9. [Last Race: 12th (+3)] — Another oval race yielded another solid performance by Tony Kanaan. However, his success on ovals this season is countered by his continuous struggles on road and street courses, so he will need to start having success at all kinds of venues before he is able to make a bigger jump in these rankings.. No. 10. Chip Ganassi Racing, Honda. TONY KANAAN
