#8 through #5

SEBASTIEN BOURDAIS. #8. [Last Race: Not Ranked (+12)] — Sebastien Bourdais has only raced in six races so far this season, and two of them have ended thanks to issues that were out of his control. The other four have resulted in top 10 finishes, including a win and a 2nd place finish. In his first race back since his nasty wreck at Indianapolis, he finished in a solid 10th place at Gateway in a race during which Honda drivers were not supposed to be major factors.. No. 18. Dale Coyne Racing, Honda

GRAHAM RAHAL. #7. [Last Race: 7th (-)] — For the first time in three months, Graham Rahal didn’t finish a race in the top 9. At Gateway, he was penalized late, which cost him a pretty good chance at securing another top 5 finish. He ultimately ended up in 12th place for his worst result since he finished in the same position back in the Indianapolis 500 in late May.. No. 15. Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Honda

#6. [Last Race: 2nd (-4)] — Will Power’s extreme inconsistency may cost him a chance at winning his second career championship. While he has been one of the fastest drivers in the series all season long with three wins, the fact that all of his top 12 finishes have been top 5 finishes shows that when he doesn’t finish at the front, he finishes nowhere near it. An early crash at Gateway continued his inconsistent season.. No. 12. Team Penske, Chevrolet. WILL POWER

No. 98. Andretti Herta Autosport, Honda. ALEXANDER ROSSI. #5. [Last Race: 6th (+1)] — Aside of some mid-season struggles, Alexander Rossi has been one of the most consistent driver in IndyCar this season, and he has been one of the best overall drivers on all kinds of tracks. He has finished in the top 6 in four straight races. One was on a street circuit, one was on a road course, another was on a superspeedway, and yesterday’s 6th place finish at Gateway was on a short oval.
