Austin Cindric earned his first ever NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory on Sunday at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park by bumping Kaz Grala out of the lead.

Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, like many road courses on the NASCAR schedule, has created some exciting racing over the years. Often times, the tight lefts and rights will leave drivers fuming, not only at the track, but at each other too.

Another late-race shunt stirred some controversy, as Austin Cindric bumped his way into victory lane on Sunday in the Truck Series.

Cindric, who earned his first-ever Camping World Truck Series win on Sunday at CTMP, charged on leader Kaz Grala into turn 5 and pushed the #33 Chevy out of the way on the final lap.

Understandably, Grala was not happy with the move, but Cindric validated his move based on Grala being locked into the playoffs. The driver of #19 Ford was not locked into the hunt for the championship until he pulled into victory lane this weekend.

It is a bit of poetic justice that in the next race after Brad Keselowski announced he would shut down his racing team, one of his drivers brought home the team’s 10th ever victory. No plans have been announced specifically yet for either Cindric or teammate Chase Briscoe, though both likely will have a space to race in 2018 thanks to Ford.
