With a 2nd place finish…

  • Power will have 572 points
  • Newgarden must not race (560 points)
  • Dixon must not race (557 points)
  • Castroneves must finish in 13th place (572 points) or lower — Power wins tiebreaker based on more wins in the 2017 season (3 to 1)
  • Pagenaud must finish in 9th place (570 points) or lower
  • Alexander Rossi must finish in 2nd place (556 points) or lower

With a 3rd place finish…

  • Power will have 562 points
  • Newgarden must not race (560 points)
  • Dixon must not race (557 points)
  • Castroneves must finish in 18th place (562 points) or lower — Power wins tiebreaker based on more wins in the 2017 season (2 to 1)
  • Pagenaud must finish in 12th place (562 points) or lower — Power wins tiebreaker based on more wins in the 2017 season (2 to 1)
  • Rossi must finish in 2nd place (556 points) or lower
  • Graham Rahal must finish in 2nd place (546 points) or lower
