#12. [Last Race: 10th (-2)] — James Hinchcliffe’s mechanical failure at Watkins Glen led to a 21st place finish, giving him his fifth DNF in the last 11 races. Seeing as how just three of his six finishes in the last 11 races have been higher than 10th place results, he drops in these rankings.. No. 5. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, Honda. JAMES HINCHCLIFFE

[Last Race: 18th (+7)] — Max Chilton broke out of his slump of three consecutive finishes of 15th place or lower, including two DNF’s, with an 8th place finish at Watkins Glen after he started in the back. While it took pit strategy to get to the front, he was able to maintain his spot towards the front of the running order all race long.. No. 8. Chip Ganassi Racing, Honda. MAX CHILTON. #11

[Last Race: 9th (-1)] — In the last eight races, 2017 Indianapolis 500 champion Takuma Sato has just one finish inside the top 12. At Watkins Glen, he brought out two of the race’s first three caution flags before finishing the race in 19th place a total of four laps off the pace.. No. 26. Andretti Autosport, Honda. SEBASTIEN BOURDAIS. #9. [Last Race: 8th (-1)] — Had it not been for a late incident coming out of the pits at Watkins Glen, Sebastien Bourdais may have had a decent finish.
