#10 through #6

Furniture Row Racing, Toyota. ERIK JONES. #10. [Last Race: 10th (-)] — Erik Jones is hanging tough in the top 10 in these rankings thanks to yet another great race at Darlington. His 5th place finish there was his third consecutive top 5 and fifth consecutive top 10 effort, which is pretty impressive for a rookie.. No. 77

Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet. CHASE ELLIOTT. #9. [Last Race: 9th (-)] — Chase Elliott’s string of mediocrity continued at Darlington, as he finished in 11th place. Once again, he wasn’t great, but he wasn’t terrible. He may just get into the playoffs this season despite the fact that he has yet to win his first career Cup Series race.. No. 24

#8. [Last Race: 8th (-)] — Jamie McMurray, like Chase Elliott, continued his streak of mediocrity with a 10th place finish at Darlington. He, too, may very well end up in the playoffs this season despite the fact that he has not won a race since the 2013 season.. No. 1. Chip Ganassi Racing, Chevrolet. JAMIE MCMURRAY

#7. [Last Race: 7th (-)] — Brad Keselowski’s cold streak continued at Darlington. He finished outside the top 14 for the fourth straight race. However, the fact that his 15th place finish there was tied for his best in the four-race span keeps him in the #7 spot in these rankings.. No. 2. Team Penske, Ford. BRAD KESELOWSKI

#6. [Last Race: 6th (-)] — Matt Kenseth finished in 6th place at Darlington for his second consecutive top 6 finish and his sixth top 9 finish in the last seven races. Like Chase Elliott and Jamie McMurray, he may very well get into this season’s playoffs despite the fact that he hasn’t won a race yet in 2017.. No. 20. Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota. MATT KENSETH
