Third Prediction: The infamous “big one” will shake up the playoff points standings

At Talladega, the phrase is “it’s not if it’s going to happen, it’s when it’s going to happen” as far as when the famous “big one” goes at Talladega. There is never any way to predict who, what, when, where or why it happens either. Unfortunately for drivers, there is very little to nothing they can do to prevent it from happening as well.

Whether it be 2, 3, 4, 15 or 39 cars involved in the “big one” weekend, we will not know who is in it until it happens. The one thing viewers can expect to see is it having a negative impact on playoff points for playoff drivers involved. The last thing any playoff team wants is a wreck that puts them in a spot where they must win the following week at Kansas to advance to the Round of 8.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see what happens to which drivers this weekend at Talladega. The best part is nobody is safe when it happens and it could create playoff chaos heading to Kansas.
