Kansas Prediction #1 – Kyle Busch will rebound and win at Kansas

As a consequence of poor finishes at Charlotte and Talladega, Kyle Busch is on the outside looking in headed to Kansas. After finishing 27th and 29th, Busch is in the 9th playoff spot and seven points out of the last spot. Busch’s comfortable cushion popped after weeks one and two and he will need to race his way in on Sunday.

Fortunately, Busch had a strong 5th place finish at Kansas in May. The race in May was won by Martin Truex Jr., a fellow Toyota driver. Busch has won at Kansas Speedway, with his win coming in May of 2016. The last four races at Kansas have been kind to Busch with three 5th place finishes and a win. Therefore, if Kyle Busch doesn’t win, he will finish 5th. Although if anyone knows Busch’s personality, he will not be satisfied unless he wins the race on Sunday.

So far, the 2017 playoffs have been a rollercoaster for Kyle Busch. Busch was dominating at Chicagoland before a pit road issue caused him to finish 15th. He then went on to win both New Hampshire and Dover to close out the first round. So far in round two, he’s finished 27th at Charlotte and 29th at Talladega. This just means he will more than likely be the victor on Sunday at Kansas. It seems as though when you count Busch out, he is able to fight back and find a way to be successful.

By and large, Kyle Busch will need to gain ground to make the Round of 8. As a NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Busch knows what it takes to be a winner when it counts and this is why he will be the winner on Sunday.
