Another first-time NASCAR winner in the Camping World Truck Series! This time it was Noah Gragson for Kyle Busch Motorsports at Martinsville Speedway.

Martinsville Speedway is known as a track that has lots of close-quarters racing, but also a lot of carnage. And the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, a series known for beating and banging, was back at the paper clip on Saturday afternoon to start the Round of 6 in the series playoffs. But there was a surprise in store for the field in the Texas Roadhouse 200, with Noah Gragson earning his first career win in the Truck Series.

Gragson, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, earned his first career NASCAR victory in his rookie year in the Truck Series. He has come close before, finishing second at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park earlier in the year. But with a fantastic final restart up against Matt Crafton, Gragson used the long way around the track, the lesser line around the outside, to pass the veteran for the lead and the win.

The race was dominated early by the veterans, with Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton swapping the lead over the first 150 laps. Both are in the hunt for the championship and could have locked up a spot in the final round of the playoffs at Homestead with a win. However, both will be happy with top-five finishes on the day.

Other championship contenders were not as fortunate as Crafton and Sauter. John Hunter Nemechek was out of the race early, before the end of the first stage, after backing his #8 Chevrolet into the outside wall. Meanwhile, Christopher Bell had to rally back from a spin midway through the event to a top ten finish.

Following Gragson home on Saturday in the Truck Series race were Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, Harrison Burton, and Todd Gilliland rounding out the top five. All four Kyle Busch Motorsports trucks finished in the top ten, with three in the top five.
