Texas Prediction #1 – Chase Elliott will not get his revenge this weekend.

If you’re one of the people hoping to see Chase Elliott get Denny Hamlin back, you will have to wait. Texas is just not the right track to get revenge. The high speeds and tight turns would create more trouble than expected. I would guess his best time to do it would be either Phoenix or Homestead-Miami.

Chase Elliott currently sits 26 points behind Kevin Harvick for the fourth and final spot in the championship finale. We do know Kyle Busch is in the Championship 4, however, the other three spots still remain up for grabs. If Elliott has any chance of making it to the next round, he will need to collect as many stage points and finish within the top 5 at both Texas and Phoenix.

Above all, Chase Elliott will need to focus more on a great finish and less on getting revenge. Elliott still has a solid shot at a championship and that should be his main goal. Considering this is just his second full season of racing, he will have plenty of time down the road to pay Hamlin back.

I would guess the spot Hamlin gets what he has coming to him would be Phoenix. If Elliott is looking like he will be eliminated and has a shot to end Hamlin’s championship hopes, Phoenix will be the place he takes care of business.
