Thanksgiving Award #4 – The Turkey Award

Without any debate, the turkey is the key piece to any dinner table on Thanksgiving Thursday. Sure, it takes a while to cook, but the end result is worth it. This year’s “Turkey Award” Winner is 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion, Martin Truex Jr. After his win at Homestead-Miami in the final race of the season, Truex Jr. is the centerpiece of the season.

It took Truex Jr. a while to get to the top, but he is finally there and I can’t think of anywhere I have seen a negative comment about him being the champ. He is the definition of class, professionalism and a driver any kid growing up should want to emulate. When the turkey is sitting in the cart, all the other foods know the turkey is king.

The finish of the season for Truex Jr. was perfect. After a pretty dominant 2018 campaign, he was able to close it out with the big trophy. It will be very interesting to see if he can repeat as champion next year as the defending title holder. Either way, he is this year’s “Turkey Award” winner after being the most important driver of the season.
