With the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series season now complete, which teams looked great and which teams didn’t measure up? Here are the post-season team grades.

The 2017 NASCAR Cup Series season has officially come to a close with the Championship 4 race, the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.

How do the seasons of each of the full or close to full-time teams grade since the 2017 season is now fully behind us?

We’ll start with the Chevrolet teams before moving on to the Ford teams and then the Toyota teams.

Chevrolet teams

Chevrolet. CIRCLE SPORT - THE MOTORSPORTS GROUP . F. With no top 25 finishes, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Circle Sport – The Motorsports Group’s lone driver, still has a career-high finish of 26th place, which he recorded twice this season. Earnhardt was never a factor for a decent finish whatsoever in 2017, as he was usually being lapped within the first few laps of races.. Circle Sport - The Motorsports Group

TRISTAR MOTORSPORTS . F. TriStar Motorsports’ lone driver, Cole Whitt, did not have a great season, as evidenced by his 33rd place finish in the final standings. While he finished in the top 20 in a career-high four races this season, he was unable to collect his first career top 10 result, and two of those four top 20 finishes came in the first two races of the season.. TriStar Motorsports. Chevrolet

F. Among all of their drivers in all of their races, only now-retired Michael Waltrip finished in the top 10 for Premium Motorsports this season, doing so with an 8th place finish in the Daytona 500 when the team was Toyota-powered. After that, nothing went right for this team in 2017.. Premium Motorsports. Chevrolet. PREMIUM MOTORSPORTS
