Richard Childress Racing. Chevrolet. RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING . C+. Despite lacking great speed that other teams showed throughout the season, two of Richard Childress Racing’s drivers won a race in the regular season, and thus the team had two of their three drivers advance to the playoffs. While neither one of them made it past the Round of 16, the season was not totally a lost cause.

B-. Chip Ganassi Racing had a strong regular season, as both of their drivers made the playoffs. But both were eliminated in the Round of 12, including Kyle Larson, who was favored to be one of the Championship 4 drivers at Homestead-Miami after winning four races in the regular season. Hendrick Motorsports had two of their four drivers make them playoffs, and both advanced to and were eliminated in the Round of 8. The team as a whole seemed to be racing from behind for much of the season, and they had just one win in the final five months of the season to give them four victories in 2017.
